Island comparison

One region, many different trips

The Caribbean includes culturally and geographically distinct destinations. Compare more than beaches: consider flight options, island size, transfer times, rainfall patterns, activities and the pace of travel.

Jamaica suits travellers looking for a large island with beaches, music, food, mountain scenery and several resort regions. Barbados combines Atlantic and Caribbean coasts with historic Bridgetown and relatively compact island travel. Dominica is especially strong for rainforest, waterfalls, hiking and nature-led itineraries.

When to travel

Weather varies by island and elevation. December to April is often popular for drier conditions, while warmer and wetter months may offer different prices. The Atlantic hurricane season generally runs from June to November. Always check current forecasts, official travel advice and suitable insurance.

Compare the whole journey

Look beyond the headline fare. Include baggage, airport travel in the UK, connection time, onward island transfers and ticket conditions. A cheaper itinerary can cost more overall if it requires an overnight connection or a long transfer after arrival.
